A very slender, long grain and highly aromatic rice grown in India and Pakistan. Basmati is known as fragrant or aromatic rice due to the wonderful aroma it emits while cooking and its delicious flavour when cooked. Each grain maintains its unique taste and keeps spongy when it is cooked. It is therefore a variety highly appreciated by all those who not only like cooking, but also look for more exotic tastes.
