Arrossaires Delta invests a million in a packaging plant to Nomen
The Cooperative has built a new bottling plant , 660 square meters, composed of twelve machines with a total production capacity of 10,000 kilos per hour.
Deltebre ( Tarragona) ( EFE ) - . Cooperative Arrossaires del Delta de l'Ebre , which last year acquired the brand Nomen 40€ million , still immersed in its growth plan during the 2013 , and has invested one million euros in a new bottling plant for Nomen .
The Cooperative has built a new bottling plant , 660 square meters, composed of twelve machines with a total production capacity of 10,000 kilos per hour.
The new facility will focus on manufacturing different products for brand Nomen , such as rice, mashed potatoes , flour and meal of wheat and rice.
The new plant inaugurated today by the Minister for Agriculture, Josep Maria Pelegrí , who congratulated the cooperative " increasingly internationalize their product."
Arrossaires has experienced significant growth and remarkable , as now has an export quota of 20% , expected to happen in 2 years 40 % , and is working to get into emerging markets as it is the Middle East.
Pelegrí also noted " the importance of credit section element that gives the cooperative financial strength and allows you , with good management they do take on projects of this size and nature ."
Cooperative Arrossaires Delta is one of the leading companies in the domestic rice market , with brands such as Nomen , Bayo and Segadors del Delta .
The Cooperative currently has a staff of 89 workers , produces about 50 million tons of rice, has billed about 29 million euros in 2012 and plans to bill this year about 30 million.
